Well, we had an eventful start to the weekend. On Friday Anna, Meghann, Sarah, and I went to a Real SL soccer game. It was a lot of fun. I hadn't been to one yet, so when Uncle DelLoy said he'd give me free tickets since he owns the soccer team, I was all for it. They've had games already beginning in March, but this was the first time I was able to make it. It was a lot of fun!! Watching the game brought back memories of the 11 years I played soccer not only for me, but Megs as well. We actually met playing soccer in 4th grade and have been friends ever since. Kind of neat, huh.
Anna enjoyed the game as well, 'even though no one scored.' Most of our key players are at the World Cup right now, so we were down a little. But, I thought we did really well and it was great fun watching soccer once again. I can't wait till Sarah is old enough to play. Another couple of years and she'll be all set. She's been asking me for a soccer ball for her birthday. A child after my own heart :o)
Saturday we went swimming at Grandma Resch's apartment. It was a lot of fun. Sarah loves swimming. I lathered myself with sunscreen but somehow still ended up getting burned (just a little) even after I covered myself just as well as I covered Sarah, who by the way, didn't get burned at all. Pregnancy hormones. Enough said.
We were all so tired by the time we got home, we all took about a 3 hour nap. I took a 2 hour nap knowing if I slept any longer I wouldn't fall asleep that night. We spent a quiet evening at home, since it was really hot outside.
Sunday we went to church as usual. I was released from my Primary teaching calling. I'm sad, yet relieved. With all the things happening in my life right now, including pregnancy, it's been hard to be a consistent teacher. I would want a reliable teacher for Sarah, so when they asked me what I wanted, I told them for the kids sake it'd be best to release me. That was over a month ago. But now I'm released and am looking forward to going to Relief Society. Anna has been released as Primary Pianist, so she gets to go to Relief Society with me as well. That will be a welcomed changed for the both of us. We spent a relaxing, lazy day at home--thanks to the sweltering summer sun--and enjoyed the AC inside. All in all, a great weekend.

Summer Fest
Well, this last weekend was fun! I took Sarah to the Summer Fest in Logan on Friday. They had a booth at the Summer Fest for kids to get their faces painted for $5. Instead of spending $5, I did it myself! My theater makeup wasn't handy at Liz's house, so I used craft paints instead. Not too shabby, I must say. Sarah wanted a mask like butterfly on her face like her cousin Abby had. Liz did Abby's face with the colors she chose out. They looked so cute together! And I saved $5 thanks to Liz's pre-warning.
Saturday we spent the day at Bear Lake. I left my camera in the cabin, so I didn't get any pictures. Sarah had a blast playing on the beach with her bucket and shovel. Daisy wouldn't get out of the water! We were the only ones there, which really surprised me since it was a beautiful day!! I did get a little sunburned, but not bad. Just enough to make my nose and cheeks pink and my arms as well.
Later that night we went to the cabin up Logan Canyon for a winnie roast. Grandpa Harris wanted the family to get together for Father's Day so we all piled in the car and went up. It was a lot of fun. Sarah had fun playing with her cousins and second cousins. She wasn't quite sure what to do with all the kids around, but she had a blast on the swing and roasting her hot dog.
Sunday we went to church and then headed over to Liz's for a Father's Day BBQ. It was very yummy! We ate outside and enjoyed the weather. I just sat around, since it was so hot and my feet were swelling, and enjoyed the shade of the maple trees in her backyard. We enjoyed a dutch oven peach cobbler for dessert. Yum!
Monday we went to Toy Story 3, which was really cute. Jordan thought it was better than the first and the second. I thought it was just as good as the other three. First movie at the theater Sarah sat all the way through without asking to go to the bathroom! That's pretty impressive for a 2 year old!!
Then the extended weekend ended too quickly and we had to head back to SL. I wish time didn't slip by so quickly!!! I enjoyed the weather, although hot, and the time spent with my family. Can't wait for more days like this to come!!

Doughnut Falls Hike
Well, Saturday was such a nice day, I couldn't waste it sitting in an air conditioned house--so I set off for the mountains and some needed fresh air. It was still really muddy, thanks to the melting snow pack up in the mountains, but the hike was very fun. I called it an "adventure" for Sarah so she'd stick it out longer. Unfortunately the trail only got more muddy and snowy the further we went and I had to call it quits before we got to Doughnut Falls because I didn't want to slide/fall/trip while pregnant. But it was still a great hike nonetheless.
Anna and Karina came with us as well. After the hike, which was cut short, we had a picnic in the car. Most places were full of other people and/or muddy/too close to the raging Cottonwood Canyon River for a mother's comfort. Regardless, it was great fun. After wards we went home and Sarah got to run through the sprinklers in the backyard for the first time this season for about an hour while I did some yard work. She was so excited! She soaked herself, which resulted in a bath, and then took a 3 1/2 hour nap.
Baby's due in about 3 months!! Yeah!!! Counting down the days till little ones in my arms. And when I can finally say I'm not dying from overheating!! Thank goodness for AC's.

Memorial Weekend
We had a great Memorial Weekend. First I took off Friday so I went up to Logan on Thursday night. We all helped Becca pack her apartment and load up furniture to move into Mom's house until her new home is finished being built just down the street from my parent's home. It was a lot of work, and being pregnant, mostly sat and watched everyone load things onto the trailer. But, I did help pack. Friday we went on a hike in Logan canyon up Card Canyon where my grandparents have a cabin. We hiked a fairly even trail, which Daisy loved!, and then had a picnic back at the cabin. After which, we went swimming. Sarah must've lapped the pool at least 10 times which resulted in a long 3 hour nap, 2 hours of which I slept as well. It was a well deserved nap for all. It was so cute watching her little legs kick and her arms paddle. She was so happy to be in the water and I'm glad she loves swimming as much as I do. I have a future diving buddy in the making.
Saturday was busier since we decorated graves. We also helped Becca and Adam finish packing and cleaning their apartment. It's a lot of work to move!! Sarah was a sport and entertained their dog, Chubbs, while I helped pack and clean their kitchen. After, we returned to Nana's to take a nap. Jordan and I later went on a date while Dad, Becca, Adam, Liz, Mike, Aiden, and Abby all went to the SL Real soccer game. I didn't feel like driving all the way back to SL just to turn around and drive back to Logan. So I decided to stay in Logan and go on a date with Jordan while Nana got some time with Sarah. It was fun for all.
Sunday we had a nice Sunday dinner all together as family. We were only missing Justin and Lindsey-who live in Arizona- and Jon who returns home from his mission at the end of October. It ended up being a nice day and Sarah got to play with all her cousins in the backyard and jump on the tramp. She loves playing with her cousins.
Monday we went to Bear Lake for a few hours. We got in some beach time, but the water was too cold for any of the kids to swim in and the temperature outside wasn't much better, and collected seashells. Sarah had a lot of fun playing in the sand. What she learned is that if you grab a handful of sand and the wind blows in your face, the sand ends up in your hair. Silly girl. She had a lot of fun. Then we returned to Logan for Sarah to take her nap. Then we had to head home :o(. That's always the hardest part about having a great weekend.
