Off to Alaska I go!

Well, Jordan and I leave tomorrow for our trip to Alaska. Sarah is staying with Nana and Bompa in Logan and Anna is holding down the fort at home, literally. She's covering for me at work (just answering the phones) while I am out since the other admin has a sales meeting in Michigan she can't miss. It was bound to happen one day, both admin's out and no one to answer the calls. Well, thanks Anna!

Jordan and I are really looking forward to this trip! Fishing, whale watching, jeeping, and who knows what else may come our way! You have a great Memorial Weekend too!

My Little Sis Roo

Well, here's a picture of my little sister Becca at her USU graduation a couple of weeks ago. Isn't she the cutest grad?! Congrats again Becca on a job well done! Did I mention she graduated with all Honors too? She's a smart cookie, this one.

Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! I did!! The weekend started off with the Boys and Girls Dinner and Auction. I volunteer every year, except last since Sarah was too little to leave for nearly an entire day. I help out at the finance table and love it! Most of the people who work at that table have been doing so for years and we all get along really well. Anyway, I love going and seeing everyone in the tuxedos and evening gowns. It also gives me a chance to dress up too and I can never escape the chance to dress up!! It also gives me the change to meet celebrities. This year I met Tony Mahi from the Philadelphia Eagles football team. He is on the board, meaning he donates a lot of money each year, and is probably the youngest board member. Anyway, his football ring is gigantic! It was neat meeting him, I spoke to him for about 20 minutes or so before he left for the evening. Anna was with me and she enjoyed our conversation as well...this is what he had to say:

He was standing on the elevator with two other men and one of them turned to him and introduced himself. He then proceeded to introduce the other man standing next to him and explained it was his partner.

Tony then asked: "So what do you do?"

The two men laughed and said, "Oh, that's a good joke!"

Tony then realized they were gay! He was so embarrassed that the rest of the night he stayed away from them. So, that's what led him to speak to me while he waited for the two partners to leave for the evening so he wouldn't get stuck in the elevator with them again. Poor guy! I probably would've said the same thing...maybe.

Jordan couldn't help out this year since he had work, but Anna joined me and Lynette (my mother-in-law) who works for the Club. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I look forward to this function every year. I'd like to think that if I had money I'd be willing to share it with great programs like the Boys and Girls Club.

On Sunday we travelled to Logan and spent the day with my family. It was great fun and the best gift Jordan could ever give me. Well...we are headed to Alaska in 2 weeks!! No complaints here :o)

I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend just like I did.
