Well, this year has been an eventful one. In January we discovered we were expecting another child. Jordan and I were so thrilled! We could hardly wait to have another child and Sarah was practically begging for a baby brother. Fortunately for us, since Sarah was persistent we were having a boy, we ended up having a one.
In April Jordan was transferred to the Logan Maceys store. This change brought excitement as I was to return home to Logan after nearly 7 years. In May Jordan began his new job, leaving Sarah and I to live in Salt Lake till the house sold or until the birth of Daniel. Unfortunately the house hasn’t sold yet, but we’re all together in Logan. But through the trial of being separated we all learned and were reminded of how much we truly do love each other.
Daisy, our crazy yellow lab, tore the ACL in her other leg. This brings good news, in a weird sort of way, because now Daisy can’t tear another ACL. Both of her back legs have had surgery and both are brand-spakin’-new, or as Jordan put’s it “she has a completely new rear end.” No hunting this season, again, but surely next year she’ll be up and ready for it.
Daniel was born bright and early on Wednesday September 15th. It was a planned c-section. I still think it was a little weird being able to plan my own child’s birth since babies usually chose their very own date. Fortunately Daniel’s birth and my recovery went very well.
Now the holidays are here and I can’t wait to spend them with my two beautiful children. God has truly blessed me and my family throughout this year. Despite the trial of selling a house in this poor economy, we’re still all together. I have two happy and healthy children. Jordan’s job is great and he loves the Logan community. We wish you and your family a very happy and plentiful 2011.
Sarah-isims to Remember:
Said when told to go to bed:
Nana: It’s time for bed Sarah.
Sarah: No, let’s watch a movie.
Nana: No, Sarah, let’s go read some books and go to bed.
Sarah: How about we watch a movie?
Nana: No, Sarah, it’s time to read books.
Sarah: Nana, can we watch the news?
Calling Daisy:
Come here Heifer.
Said to a little boy in nursery whose diaper was a little too low:
Crack kills.
Said while the Sacrament was being passed:
ROAR!
Said while cutting through cart traffic at the store:
Ex-squeeze me! Ex-squeeze me!
Said when I called her “Princess”:
I’m not a Princess, Momma. I’m Sarah.
Said when she had a stuffy nose:
Momma, I need to blow my nose. I have bats in the cave.
Said after my final doctor appointment:
Is Momma all better? Can I jump on you now?
Said after falling and hitting her chin:
Momma, I broke my chinney-chin-chin!
Said to Nana at 6am after the first snowfall in Logan (she squeezed Nana’s cheeks together just to make sure she was listening):
Nana, did Santa come yet? It snowed.
Said while cleaning the Thanksgiving turkey:
Grandpa, that’s a big pig!
