*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holiday !*
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

Did you write this? I would love to put it on my blog. The night of the elections we went to Costco to pass time. I walked into the store and was enjoying there Christmas Trees when a little boy came running up to the shouting "look daddy holiday trees, holiday trees". The dad looked at his son oddly like "where did that come from" then shrugged his solders and walked off. I wanted to correct the kid and say "their Christmas Trees!!". My friend that teaches school said that is what they call Christmas trees in the class room. I'm not a fan of that idea.

Did you write that?? About the bows, Most of them My aunt and I get together and make them, but there are a few that James's cousin up in Idaho has made. I can make you some!! Even if you go to a store, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michael's any place and find flowers, or ribbon, pick up what you want and I'll make you them! And then if you want you can just give me a couple of bucks for the clippies and glue, or we can just work out something!! Just let me know which ones you are interedsted in!! Also go to my blog and scroll down to the blog-tag Randomness and you'll see a few bows that I've made!! Loveyas!! We are coming to Salt Lake Saturday to see the lights at Temple Square so if your really interested we can get together and dude I can even show you how!!

No, my dad emailed me the poem. I agree with you, they are called Christmas Trees, not holiday trees. I remember when I was a kid and we sang Christmas songs together as a school instead of going outside for recess, now they can't do that because it is discriminating against those who don't celebrate Christmas. Sheesh.
